One Little Word for 2012

The one little word that I have chosen to live by is... Authenticity.

To live the year being authentic. Being me. Being the person that I know I should be each and everyday even when it is not easy (or popular).

"Promise me you'll always remember:
You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think."
Christopher Robin to Winnie-the-Pooh

All books read are reviewed using a 5 point star rating.
The rating is based on plot, characters, writing style, originality and entertainment value.

If the book is a Young Adult (YA) Novel, it is also reviewed considering its implications for use as a teaching tool in my classroom as well as its appeal to teenage readers.

As part of the review (beginning 2/14/14), I will include a short synopsis from the book This synopsis will be taken from: the book cover, Amazon, or goodreads.com. The source of the synopsis will be provided as part of the review.

My reviews are my own thoughts, feelings and connections with the novels. My goal is to provide an open and honest review of the work of literature as a means of sharing my love of reading with others and also to become a more analytically reader and writer.
